Southeast of Leipzig’s city centre, Ostplatz will be extended for an urban, mixed-use residential and commercial area, with local amenities and social infrastructure built in.
Three new, modern and triangular buildings will be constructed in Prager Strasse, with room for small shops and restaurants. Green terraces and roofs will also be accessible to tenants, while two underground floors will provide parking, a supermarket and a chemist’s shop.
Residential and commercial areas have been intentionally combined, allowing the building’s structure to provide a range of family-friendly as well as smaller, space-optimised apartments, complemented by single and open-plan offices.
